Are there different kinds of mold?

There are approximately 100,000 different types of mold and about 1,000 are indigenous to the United States. Of these, approximately 300 are harmful to humans. In addition, of the 300 harmful molds, approximately 12 cause 90% of the problems for individuals with allergies.
